Kapas Island has crystal clear Turquoise waters and an array of fish. The fish and corals are trying to hold on through climate change and sun bleaching.
Over the years, sadly, you can see the coral has become bleached in the shallow waters. In the deeper waters however the corals have held thier form. Efforts have been made to rope off certain areas from boat access, giving safer swimming areas and help protect and support the regrowth of coral initiative’s by “Ocean quest” also is in place on Kapas Island.

At the end and beginning of the season you maybe lucky enough to see the dolphins swimming by.
The clear waters allow you to see when it is jelly fish season. This typically occurs in cooler waters. This area is also a perfect playground for snorkelling out of jellyfish season.
